Adult Synchro
If you're an adult figure skater looking for a new challenge, check out the Barrie Royal Blades Adult Synchronized Skating Team!
Synchronized Skating (or "synchro") is a team sport with 8-20 skaters on the ice doing maneuvers and formations while remaining in sync with teammates. The sport is open to all genders, and the Adult events require all skaters to be 18 by July 1st prior to the season start. The Royal Blades generally run skills sessions/tryouts in the Spring and Summer which are open to all skaters - no synchro experience needed!
The season starts in September with Choreography, and our competitive season begins in December/January. We generally do 3 competitions per year. For the 2026-27 season, we will be competing at:

Skate Ontario Adult Championships (Stratford) in March
Our practices are Wednesday nights from 7:30-9:20pm at Allendale Rec Centre from October to March. We also have additional Sunday practices in September and throughout the season.
