Learn to Skate/Pre-CanSkate - This program is or our youngest beginner skaters, aged 2 - 4, the Learn to Skate/Pre-CanSkate program allows skaters to learn to skate with special methods and incentives designed for this younger age group.
Parent and Tot - This Program is for our young skaters that are not ready to skate without their Parent/Guardian.
CanSkate - Skate Canada's flagship Learn-to-skate program offers developing skaters fundamental skills in a fun environment. A great foundation for further development in Hockey, Figure Skating, Ringette or Speed Skating, this program for skaters aged 5+ in Fall or Winter blocks, with a variety of options for day of the week. CanSkate runs out of Peggy Hill, East Bayfield and Allandale arenas.
STARSkate This program is for skaters who have completed the 6 badges in the CanSkate program move on to STARSkate as their next step. The Barrie Skating Club offers 3 different levels of STARSkate programs.
Bronze Star 1-5
Silver Star 5-7
Gold Star 7-Gold
Adult/Teen - A great program for Teens and Adults that want to Learn to Skate. This program runs 5:00 & 5:40 Thursday at Peggy Hill *for trained Figure Skating Adults that session runs Friday 4:00 at Allandale. October-March
Power Skating - is a program designed specifically for hockey and ringette players. Skaters will work on dynamic skating, edges, explosive starts and stops with drills designed to improve their game. Classes are completed in full hockey gear.
Synchro - Synchronized Skating will provide your skater with a fun team atmosphere, while focusing on developing their individual skating skills and help to introduce your skater to a discipline of figure skating that will allow them to hone their passion for skating while embracing a team sport.
